Meet Marcela
The adviser I wanted for myself
I came to the UK from Slovakia around 20 years ago, having studied Business Studies in my home country. When I was expecting my first child, I began thinking seriously about changing career. I wanted to build a profession that would allow me to support my family while still being present for the moments that mattered.
That decision led me into financial services, and I quickly discovered a genuine passion for protection advice. Helping people protect their families, income and future felt meaningful, and I knew I wanted to develop further. I continued expanding my knowledge and qualifications, moving into mortgage advice and, most recently, completing my Diploma in Finance.
My own experience of arranging protection was far from ideal. There was no personal connection or real effort to understand me. It felt like a quick quotation, a completed form and a job finished. I knew I wanted to offer something different.
For me, financial advice is not simply about arranging a product. It is about getting to know my clients, understanding what truly matters to them and building a relationship based on trust. I want people to feel comfortable asking questions and confident that they understand every recommendation.
Most importantly, my support does not disappear once a policy or mortgage has been arranged. I aim to stand beside my clients throughout their journey, from the first conversation to completion and beyond. If they ever need to make a claim, I will be there to help guide and support them at a time when they and their families may feel most vulnerable.
That is the adviser I wanted for myself, and it is the adviser I choose to be for my clients.

Most people meet an adviser only a handful of times in their life, usually at the point where they are already stretched and already anxious.
